adaptability — The ability to change or be changed to fit changed circumstances.

adaptive enterprise — An enterprise (such as the military logistics domain, or command and control) that has the ability to adapt to changing environments, situations, demands, customer needs, etc.

capability — The capacity to be used, treated, or developed for a specific purpose.

co-evolution — The process of co-evolutionary development.

co-evolutionary development — The iterative development process that simultaneously evolves the developmental aspects for military enterprise capabilities: concepts, architectures, proof-of-concept and learning prototypes, doctrine, TTPs, organization, and transition plans. Its objective is to achieve transformational objectives for the military enterprise in the shortest amount of time. Cross-development of the various aspects, an aggressive experimentation campaign for review, validation, socialization, and learning and feedback among and within the elements, is part of the process.

network — A complex, interconnected group or system. An extended group of people with similar interests or concerns who interact and remain in informal contact for mutual assistance or support.

reconfiguration — The ability of force capabilities to accept a wider range of tasking and to be reoriented to some other capability or subcapability based upon the variable application of assets and resources, or upon the capability's integration into a force capability package or module.
